- GGG 2 odds, expert pick. Online sportsbook proboxingodds.com has Golovkin as the favorite (as of Sept. 15), which isn't too much of a surprise considering many felt he did enough to.

Canelo Alvarez vs. Avni Yildirim odds. Canelo: 1/50; Yildirim: 14/1; Draw: 30/1 (All odds via Unikrn) Unikrn unsurprisingly has Canelo as the overwhelming favorite to win. Canelo has only ever been defeated as a professional by the legendary Floyd Mayweather, a result that took place way back in 2013. The age might also be on Canelo's side, where GGG will be 38 this time around, and Canelo is looking to be at his best. Online sportsbooks have pegged Canelo as an early favorite, and we expect as the match begins to draw closer, the odds will shift. We have all the news and updates before the fights.

Boxing Match of the Year is Rematch of Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady Golovkin
Two of the best pound for pound boxers will square off in a Middleweight rematch Saturday night as Canelo Alvarez (49-1-2; 34 KOs) takes on Gennady Golovkin- GGG (38-0-1; 34 KOs). It was almost one year ago when these fighters met and in that match GGG tired in the later rounds and Alvarez took advantage. Even though most people thought Golovkin was the clear winner, the judges did not see it that way and the result was a draw.
Since then Alvarez, the younger fighter at 28 has failed two drug tests which forced the postponement of this match that was originally scheduled for May. Because he's coming off suspension he has no current rankings.
Canelo Vs Ggg News
Bet on Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin vs Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at Bovada Sportsbook.
Golovkin is 36 years old, eight years Alvarez' senior, but he comes into the fight as the #1 ranked ranked middleweight fighter and the #1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world.
Alvarez' only loss was to the undefeated Floyd Mayweather and that came back in 2013 when he was just 23 years old. After beating a fading Miguel Cotto for the Middleweight title in 2015, he essentially avoided fighting any more true fighters in his class for two years, until agreeing to last year's match with Golovkin.
His stamina is legendary and in the first match he was able to absorb GGG's blows and fight back at the end to earn the draw.
GGG is one of the most powerful pound-for-pound boxers of all time and he'll be looking to take advantage of an overly aggressive Alvarez as these fighters would like nothing more to knock the other out. The hatred is real and legacies are on the line.
The Bottom Line: Golovkin is -155 favorite to win and Alvarez +125 underdog. Golovkin has been looking to climb to the top of the mountain for a long time. Often avoided by champs, this is his moment.
The Pick Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin.
Other Prop bets: I think Golovkin knocks out Alvarez, but it'll take some work, coming in the eighth round. As such:
Golovkin to win in rounds 7-9: +650
G. Golovkin by KO, TKO or DQ: +225
Will fight go distance? No: +170

Canelo vs. Yildirim: Tale of the tape
Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez
Canelo (54-1-2, 36 KOs) heads to South Florida as the overwhelming favorite against the Turkish challenger. He recorded an 11th-round knockout against Sergey Kovalev Nov. 2, 2019, and beat Callum Smith by unanimous decision Dec. 19, 2020.
He hasn't lost in 13 straight bouts (12-0-1) since a majority-decision setback to Floyd Mayweather Sept. 14, 2013, and he has six KO/TKOs during the span with four unanimous-decision wins, a majority-decision, a split-decision and a split draw against Gennadiy Golovkin. 'Cinnamon' weighed in at 167.6 pounds, 0.4 pounds below the limit.

Avni Yildirim
Yildirim (21-2, 12 KOs) is looking to stun the world, a la Buster Douglas vs. Mike Tyson. He suffered a technical-decision loss to Anthony Dirrell Feb. 23, 2019, losing out on a chance at the then-vacant WBC strap. Like Canelo, 'Mr. Robot' weighed in at 167.6 pound.

Canelo vs. Yildirim: Odds, predictions and picks
There is no way to justify risking 50 times your potential return on Canelo (-5000) on the 3-way line. You'll have to get really specific to make a profit.
You cannot even bet on a fight finish type, as Canelo by KO/TKO probably wouldn't be a very good value anyway.
Instead, look to round group betting for a better play. If you are a little more adventurous, taking Round Group Betting 1, target ROUNDS 5-6 (+350) and ROUNDS 7-8 (+600) for the win by either fighter. If the fight ends anywhere from Rounds 5 through 8, you'll be well ahead, although you will lose one end.
Or you could just go with Round Group Betting 3, and make a bet on ROUNDS 5-8 (+185) to nearly double up, and you need not pick a fight winner.
If you're less adventurous, you could cross your fingers and look to Round Group Betting 4, taking fight finish in ROUNDS 7-12 (+250).
Ggg Vs Canelo 3
Lastly, it's worth a small-unit play taking SAUL ALVAREZ TO WIN AFTER BEING KNOCKED DOWN (+1000). Perhaps Yildirim catches him with a surprise shot early. Canelo is going to win, so why not give it a try? Just don't get crazy.
